Eva Aguirre Cooper is the Community Affairs Director at WOOD TV8/WOTV 4/WXSP, where her responsibilities include Community Affairs, Public Relations, and Special Station Projects including Angel Tree, Drive to Live and Connecting with Community.

Before joining WOOD TV, Eva worked at Trillion Post Production as a manager of Mexico City projects. From 1984 to 1994, Eva worked at Public Broadcasting Stations in Illinois, South Carolina and in Grand Rapids.

Eva sits on various boards including the Center for Community Leadership, the Grand Rapids/Kent County Convention and Visitors Bureau, Grand Rapids Community Foundation and Healthy Kent 2010. She is also active with Sister Cities International Mexico Committee, NICO Team and other community efforts. Eva is fluent in Spanish and is active in the West Michigan Hispanic community.
