Emily Linnert, Anchor / Reporter / Producer

A native of West Michigan, Emily Linnert's first brush with fame came in 1980, when the Kalamazoo tornado tore through her west-side neighborhood. She survived that, as well as Michigan State University some years later.

After graduation, she was a morning news anchor at WLNS in Lansing, where she spent six years. After a brief stint working for a non-profit, Emily joined WOOD TV8 in the middle of 2006.

She is currently a weekend anchor for 24 Hour News 8 at 6pm and 11pm and 24 Hour News 8 at 10pm on WXSP.

Emily and her husband, a WOOD TV8 photojournalist, have one daughter.
