Amanda Jarrett joined the 24 Hour News 8 team as a multi-platform journalist in March 2012, coming from WTHI in Terre Haute, Indiana.
While there, she was nominated for an Emmy and was both a weekend anchor and crime reporter. She's netted several awards and been recognized by the Indiana Broadcasters Association, the Associated Press and the Society of Professional Journalists.
Amanda began her career in 2007 as a bureau reporter in Tupelo, Mississippi after graduating with a journalism degree from Butler University.
She was a field producer at the State of the Union Address in 2005 and assisted in production for the second inauguration of President George W. Bush.
In her free time, Amanda loves reading, traveling and visiting friends and family around the country. She's excited to explore West Michigan - from the sandy beaches and tourist locales to out-of-the-way restaurants.
