GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) -- In the wake of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, it’s important for us to remember to give back. Giving Tuesday, the tuesday after Cyber Monday, sets aside a time to do just that.
The Grand Rapids Community Foundation is partnering with #GRGives to encourage giving on #GivingTuesday.
#GRGives acts as one place to give to a vast number of local non-profits and give non-profits a chance to reach people who want to give. Over 100 non-profits have signed on.
Last year’s Giving Tuesday resulted in over 700,000 online donations, with $117 million raised for over 40,000 organizations. #GRGives hopes to build off of this energy to give in order to help raise support for area non-profits.
Spread the word about giving with #GRGives and discover more about organizations you can give back to.
Another option for giving back is to donate to the Grand Rapids Community Foundation. The Grand Rapids Community Foundation is Kent County’s philanthropic leader and holds over $306 million dollars in assets.
Grand Rapids Community Foundation is a proud partner of Connecting with Community.
