GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - For the second straight year, Art Van Furniture is giving a total of $1 million to 50 Michigan charities, nine here in West Michigan. But this year, the public can decide which charity gets an extra $25,000.
The West Michigan charities, which received between $5,000 - $50,000, are:
- Access of West Michigan
- Andre Bosse Center
- Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired
- Center for Women in Transition
- Charitable Union
- Cherry Street Services
- Paws with a Cause
- Senior Neighbors
- The First Day Shoe Fund
Now through the end of October, the public can vote for which of the 50 charities gets an extra donation from Art Van.
Each of the 50 charities is a Michigan-based non-profit that focuses on children, health and human services program.
"We decided to do it again because we recognize the need is as great as ever," said Art Van chairman Art Van Eslander in a release.
