GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - A planned jump from a 70-foot platform into boxes by a Kalamazooartist has been put on hold over safety concerns.
Artist Singh planned to jump from the top of the platform wherehe has been standing since ArtPrize began Wednesday. The jump, according to his plan onthe ArtPrize Web site, was "to symbolize- he was part of theproject, he was part of the dream, and now that he has accomplishedhis dream successfully, he will detach himself with a winner'sspirit to move on to see another dream."
On the site, his jump was planned for Oct. 6. However, he wantedto jump at 11 a.m. Sunday until officials said he couldn't. Therewere too many concerns over the safety of the stunt.
