GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Daryn Kuipers was named the interim Executive Director for ArtPrize, replacing Catherine Creamer, who will depart after just one year.
Kuipers is currently the financial manager with the Windquest Group, and will lead ArtPrize until a new, permanent director is selected.
Creamer will work with Kuipers over the next few weeks during a transition period.
An ArtPrize spokesman said that Creamer was leaving the organization for "personal reasons."
In a statement, ArtPrize chairman Rick DeVos said Creamer "has been a passionate advocate of ArtPrize and we wish her the very best in her future endeavors."
"I am grateful for the opportunity to have expanded my career at ArtPrize and I have learned a lot from the Board and my colleagues, I am delighted to have had this robust opportunity," Creamer said in a released statement.
ArtPrize this year is slated for September 19-October 7.
