GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Matching for ArtPrize 2012 artists and venues ends Thursday at 5 p.m.
Once an artist matches up with a venue to host the artwork then organizers will begin making maps and guidebooks for the world's largest art competition.
After the deadline, ArtPrize organizers should know how many artists will compete this year.
"The last couple days of the matching process are always a frenzy," Kevin Buist, director of artist relations for ArtPrize said.
ArtPrize 2012 runs Sept. 19 through Oct. 7 in downtown Grand Rapids.
The Top 10 winners will receive cash prizes, with the first-place winner taking home $200,000. The public votes for the winners using mobile devices and the Internet.
