GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Though ArtPrize doesn't begin until Sept. 19, its headquarters will open on Saturday at 9 a.m.
The HUB at 41 Sheldon Boulevard is the spot where the public can activate their voting accounts and get a first glance at the 2012 ArtPrize swag.
In a statement, ArtPrize interim executive director Daryn Kuipers said, "Voting is an essential part of the ArtPrize conversation, but for those who want even more from their ArtPrize experience, we are offering a whole-new membership program."
The HUB will be open that day until 2 p.m. with cider, donuts and apples provided while they last. Special gifts will be handed out to the first 500 people through the doors, and everyone who registers that day will be entered into a drawing to see the Blue Man Group from Broadway Grand Rapids.
